Job description
We are seeking multiple Electronics Engineers to support a portfolio of active and upcoming engineering programmes. Opportunities are available for engineers with expertise in analogue electronic design and power supply design, working across the full product lifecycle from concept through to manufacture and qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analogue electronic circuits and low-voltage systems.
- Design and develop power supply solutions for complex engineering applications.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create PCB schematics, layouts and designs using Altium Designer.
- Perform circuit simulation, modelling and technical analysis.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Support environmental and EMC design, testing and compliance activities.
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles to support efficient production.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer stakeholders.
- Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in either analogue electronic design (low-voltage systems) or power supply design.
- Proficiency in PCB schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer.
- Strong understanding of electronic design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with circuit simulation, analysis and testing.
- Knowledge of FMEA and reliability engineering techniques.
- Understanding of EMC requirements and environmental qualification standards.
- Experience producing technical documentation to a high standard.
- Experience designing AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems.
- Knowledge of regulated industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting products through the full design lifecycle from concept to manufacture.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacture (DfM) methodologies.
- Experience working within defence, aerospace, nuclear or other highly regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental and EMC test planning and execution.
