When they want to push the limits of what’s possible with high voltage applications, they turn to us to make it happen.

While Spellman is not a household name, our products are used to make and often power many of the most advanced technologies that make modern life possible. With design and manufacturing sites in North America, Europe and Asia, we have become the preferred provider of high voltage power solutions for OEMs pushing the boundaries of technology around the world by designing and producing the products they need to power progress.

  • Assist the design team in estimating times and costs for the project.

  • Provide code, operating principles, calibration procedures and operating instructions for the designed product.

  • Ensure the design meets company engineering, quality and safety standards.

  • Designs must be compliant to all current legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Keep informed and support EMS and improvement team activities and ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) requirements including workmanship standards, static handling precautions and high voltage control measures.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with some experience and interest in embedded systems and hardware.

  • Experience in software design and development with an emphasis on structured methods.

  • Experience of Microchip PIC/DSP controllers, TI TMS320 uC and C programming.

  • Knowledge of embedded systems and digital control theory.

  • Experience of VB.NET GUI development.

  • Demonstrates a thorough, and methodical approach to problem-solving along with strong analytical thinking capability.
