Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Verification and Validation Systems Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers toward meeting a set of objectives, demonstrate the behaviors to effectively communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and work in a visible and proactive manner across organizational boundaries to deliver positive results. This role is fit for someone who can be a highly engaging, team-oriented, problem solving, and self-starting individual able to respond rapidly to a dynamic programmatic environment.
This position is responsible for working closely with numerous engineering teams supporting the U.S. Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) office, performing the following functions:

- Supporting refinement of the verification strategy and approach
- Supporting verification activities based on system requirements verification methods and generate design compliance reports
- Supporting development and maintenance of a Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
- Performing analysis and collaborate with teams analyzing data to support verification and validation of systems requirements
- Performing impact and traceability assessments including suggested corrective actions
- Support the development of technical documentation, data, presentations, and white papers.
- Engaging with community IPTs / Working Groups / Communities of Practice
- Attending customer staff meetings
- Support the customer in the execution of the Systems Engineering Verification process including Systems Engineering technical reviews
