Job description

The Position
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead a team of Fullstack Engineers responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications and platforms that serve both internal teams and external partners.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers while driving the successful delivery of enterprise-grade SaaS products and platform capabilities. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and Engineering leaders to execute against product roadmaps, improve engineering effectiveness, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
This role requires a strong technical foundation in Python, React, cloud-native technologies, and modern software architecture principles. You will provide technical leadership, facilitate technical discussions, guide engineering decisions, and help teams build scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
You will play a critical role in balancing business priorities, customer needs, technical investments, and team development. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, operational excellence, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and grow high-performing engineering teams.
You will independently own team execution, delivery outcomes, engineering excellence, and employee development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
We expect our team members to:
  • Act with integrity, even when it’s hard
  • Always stay curious and ready to learn
  • Work to meaningful outcomes, mindful of each step
  • Operate as a unified team, made stronger by uniqueness
Responsibilities & Skills
You should:
  • Be excited to work with talented, committed people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of 5+ software engineers across multiple experience levels.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, career development guidance, and growth opportunities for team members.
  • Drive engineering execution across multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring alignment with business goals and product priorities.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and stakeholders to define scope, priorities, delivery plans, and technical strategy.
  • Support project planning, resource allocation, estimation, and prioritization to maximize business impact.
  • Balance customer commitments, operational support needs, platform investments, technical debt reduction, and new feature development.
  • Champion engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, security, observability, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software with strong attention to scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and security.
  • Promote Agile development practices and continuously improve team processes and delivery effectiveness.
  • Identify risks early, remove blockers, and proactively mitigate challenges impacting delivery or team productivity.
  • Keep teams aligned with long-term product and platform strategy while effectively managing near-term commitments.
  • Understand business objectives and ensure engineering decisions support company goals and customer outcomes.
  • Lead by example through technical credibility, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be exceptionally self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills (Frontend – React & Angular):
  • Have 12+ years of industry experience delivering enterprise-grade software products, including 3–5 years in an engineering leadership role.
  • Have experience building or scaling enterprise SaaS platforms, APIs, and customer-facing applications using Python and React.
  • Possess strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable microservices-based systems.
  • Have experience coding with Python and modern frontend frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, security principles, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Have hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms and core cloud services.
  • Understand CI/CD practices, deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps principles.
  • Have experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Be familiar with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Be proficient with Jira, Confluence, and modern engineering collaboration tools.
The following experiences are not required, but you'll stand out from other applicants if you have any of the following, in our order of importance:

  • Experience building reusable platform services, frameworks, or shared engineering capabilities.
  • Experience contributing to engineering strategy, organizational planning, and budgeting.
