Team mission

Within Supply Data Engineering - part of the strategic Flywheel Data Engineering group - our mission is to accelerate and improve supply decision-making across key domains: destination growth, pricing optimization, availability and inventory management, and quality assurance.
We do this by building trusted, high-quality data foundations and self-serve capabilities, and by acting as a thought partner to Analytics and Supply business teams. We integrate and operationalize critical internal and external datasets (including competitive signals) so the Supply organization can move faster with confidence.

Your mission

  • Build and lead a high-performing team: Hire, coach, and support engineers to do their best work through clear expectations, feedback, and performance management.
  • Set direction and deliver outcomes: Shape the roadmap, strategy, and long-term vision for Supply Data Engineering - aligned with Supply priorities across destination growth, pricing, availability, inventory, and quality.
  • Be a trusted thought partner: Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders across Supply, Analytics, Product, and Data Products, building strong relationships and driving adoption of trusted datasets and self-serve capabilities.
  • Raise the bar on technical excellence: Ensure strong data architecture, reliability, and data quality. Establish effective engineering practices and standards while balancing hands-on technical leadership with people leadership.
  • Power critical decision-making and initiatives: Lead work that integrates and operationalizes internal and external datasets (including competitive signals) to enable initiatives such as dynamic/competitive pricing, availability and inventory optimization, and quality improvements - so Supply can move faster with confidence.

Your toolkit

  • Strategic leadership + business acumen: You translate strategic needs into crisp priorities, measurable outcomes, and executable roadmaps.
  • Cross-functional influence: You align stakeholders across pricing, availability, inventory, and quality - navigating trade-offs and keeping delivery focused on impact.
  • Player-coach leadership: You combine strong coaching with technical depth - reviewing designs and code, improving engineering standards, and mentoring engineers.
  • Data engineering fundamentals: You’re proficient in SQL and Python and bring strong grounding in data modeling, pipeline design, orchestration, observability, and data quality. You’re comfortable engaging directly with production systems.
  • Pragmatic, self-serve mindset: You value automation, documentation, and enablement to drive scalable self-serve adoption.
  • AI-first mindset: You leverage modern AI tools and techniques to boost engineering productivity and accelerate solving business needs - while maintaining strong standards for quality, security, and governance

Extras that give you an edge

  • Relevant domain experience: You’ve delivered data products in supply-adjacent domains (e.g., pricing, availability, inventory, quality) and thrive in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Modern data stack exposure: You have experience with tools such as Databricks/Spark, dbt, and Looker (or comparable technologies).
  • Strength with challenging external data: You’re curious and resilient with real-world data constraints, especially integrating frequently changing external/competitive sources - while maintaining reliability, governance, and trust.

How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary

  • Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development
  • Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year
  • A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.
  • Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events
  • Monthly transportation and fitness budget
  • Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities
  • Language reimbursement program
  • Health and wellness benefits

And more…
