What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
- Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
- Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
- Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
- Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
- Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
- Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
- Work on special projects, as directed.
- Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.
Preferred Skills
- Development and deployment of scientific, engineering, or data analysis software applications, preferably for High Performance Computing (HPC) Linux systems.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply software engineering best practices with respect to understanding requirements, design, version control, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or FORTRAN.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Displays leadership characteristics.
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
- Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.
Total Rewards Package:
- Salary: $99,000 - $134,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
