Through cost-effective engineered solutions, we help build, support, and sustain land development projects while protecting the environment.

As an Engineering Team Lead for Contech’s mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) precast product line, you will direct a high‑performing team responsible for delivering innovative, reliable, and customer‑centric engineering solutions for our MSE wall system product portfolio. This role requires a collaborative individual with deep experience in geotechnical or structural design.  If you are energized by coaching teams, improving systems, and supporting complex projects, and want to make a meaningful impact across our organization, this could be a perfect opportunity for you.

What We Offer

  • Team Orientation: Be part of a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions directly impact our growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Career Development: Join an industry leader recognized for its excellence in design, manufacturing, sourcing, and distribution. This is your opportunity to advance your career to new heights and make a substantial impact in your field.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: We provide a competitive benefits package tailored to suit your unique needs and those of your family, ensuring your financial and personal well-being.

About the Role:

Provide Technical Leadership & Project Oversight

  • Guide and review engineering designs, calculations, layouts, estimates, and quotes for MSE wall system solutions.

  • Lead and manage project submittals—including design packages, stability analyses, internal/external checks, and shop drawing reviews.

  • Support field and production needs, including design modifications, repair recommendations, and resolution of non‑conformances.

Collaborate Across the Business

  • Provide design support, specifications, solution development, installation guidance, and project‑cycle problem‑solving for our clients and customers as well as Bridge Consultants as needed.

  • Build strong relationships with project managers, geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, contractors, operations teams, and QA/QC personnel to ensure project success.

  • Communicate key metrics, recommendations, and technical insights to senior leadership.

  • Contribute to process improvements, strategic initiatives, and the development of tools that enhance engineering efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with plant managers, clerks, project managers on project status updates and product specifications, testing, and improvements.

Ensure Technical Excellence

  • Perform and oversee engineering analysis and design of MSE wall systems, including global stability, internal stability, external stability, and connection design.  Consult with outside engineering firms as needed.

  • Manage all outside client/customer projects through all stages; take-off, submittal, preconstruction meetings, field resolution and installation support as needed.  Responsible for all communication and execution of lead times for prelims, quotes, and submittals.

  • Review drawings and calculations for quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering intent and applicable standards.

  • Respond to field inquiries and coordinate timely, practical solutions that support both customer needs and business objectives.

  • Manage State DOT approvals, QPL, APL, as required for Vist-A-Wall precast and wire walls.

  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant codes and standards: AASHTO, FHWA MSE wall design guidance, ASCE 7, ACI, and other applicable specifications.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, focus on structures or geotechnical engineering.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the MSE wall industry.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with CRM or related project management databases.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred:
