RentPath is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to enable RentPath’s mission to simplify the rental experience for our customers, by ensuring the highest quality consumer-facing software is built and effectively deployed.
In primary service to RentPath’s consumer product teams, You will be responsible for ensuring that the architecture of all RentPath software application frameworks are maintainable, extensible, modifiable, and reusable. It’ll be up to you to continually monitor the effectiveness of the process, identify issues and implement modifications, and mentor team members. We expect you to elevate both their technical and interpersonal skills.
A Day in the Life…..
The Team Lead will be expected to consistently deliver top quartile outcomes in the following:
- You ensure that the consumer Product team is consistently enabled to iterate RentPath product, through the software application frameworks delivered; a high velocity of product features are being released and product feature goals are consistently met
- You hold a reputation for being among the “best of the best” at implementing software design parent libraries; product vision is achieved and releases are seen through to fruition through the right marshalling of RentPath’s full technical stack resources
- Through extensive understanding of what “good looks like,” you are able to identify team capability gaps, communicate these needs upward, and deploy training to resolve; overall technical ability of the engineering team shows marked and continuous improvement
- You possesses enough understanding of product intentions, limitations, and customer interaction with our products’ features, to respond to requests with solutions that enable optimal product performance
- You ensure the appropriate stakeholders are kept consistently abreast of challenges and bottlenecks that team is experiencing and/or anticipates, and the right matters are escalated
- You establish a team reputation for being able to rapidly execute product vision and for shipping versions of products that solve problems presented during the feature development stages
What we need from You….
- Experience working alongside a multi-engineer team, experience leading the architecture and implementation of consumer-facing software from concept to production
- You have demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on coding experience
- Awareness of the performance impact/implications of certain code and how it runs
- Demonstrated experience crafting software technical performance patterns
- Mastery with using JavaScript in production
- Experience with REDUX
- Mastery of React libraries
- Git JSON, and CSS proficiency
