Job description

Summary

You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NR-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-13. The position has a control point equivalent to the GS-12 Step 10 grade.

Duties

  • You will research, develop, communicate, train, implement, and enforce compliance with engineering-related policies, regulations, protocols, specifications, and standards such as safety, environmental, quality, etc.
  • You will plan, schedule, execute, and lead site survey and field investigations across the expeditionary domains.
  • You will support full-spectrum test and evaluation activities ranging from the development of test plans through location scouting and coordination, test apparatus development and installation, data collection, data analysis, and test reporting.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 thru GS-11 grade level or pay band NR-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, implementing, and enforcing compliance with all engineering policies, regulations, and standards, including safety, environmental, and quality protocols; 2) Supporting the full contract lifecycle from development and award to oversight and closeout; 3) Operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various engineering tools, equipment, and systems ranging from developmental prototypes to off-the-shelf industrial tools and equipment; 4) Planning, estimating, scoping, and scheduling technical projects across all business areas, including the development of project plans, statements of work, and project proposals; 5) Preparing and reviewing technical documentation including technical reports, technical drawings, test reports, and safety plans. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
