Job Summary/Basic Function


The Department of Engineering Technology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#107290) at the rank of lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The appointment start date is August 1, 2026.


The successful candidate is expected to teach classes such as Circuits 1, Power & Machinery, Digital Circuits, PLC's, and other electrical and computer engineering courses as needed.


Required Education


A master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering is required by the appointment date.


Required Related Experience


Three years of community college or university teaching experience is required by the appointment date.


Other Desirables


Applicants with engineering experience in an industrial setting will receive special consideration.
