Enterprise Lead Data Engineer with Python - Remote
The need is for a Big Data cloud Python engineer is expected to work with executives and design, develop and implement a data solution in the Cloud(GCP or AWS) to support a new initiative for a major wealth and asset management company. He will be working in partnership with the product owner, business owners and technology architecture team to develop the design and future state for the solution based on high level business requirements. Proof of concept experience is needed here along with the following:
Skills required
· 10 plus years of IT experience with 7 plus years’ experience with Big Data domain, data engineering etc
· Proven experience of creating technical architectural documents and specifications.
· Excellent current knowledge and working experience on GCP domain (3 + years )
· Work experience with the following products
o Big Query
o Snow Flake
o Python/Spark development
· Preference is on GCP experience, However experience on similar products like AWS glue can be considered. However knowledge of GCP is a must.
· Excellent database knowledge and familiarity with database design, SQL queries, database optimization and normalization and SQL query tuning.
· Experience working in financial domain, specifically investment banking, wealth and asset management
· Excellent communication skills.
· Mentorship and providing directions to the tech leads and developers is a must.
· Experience working in agile/scrum methodology
