Creates software applications, visualization tools, and testing of new technologies to support projects, services, and overall CBRE ESI business strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops software applications that support projects and service offerings. These may be specific to a particular client, project, or generally applied to support a business initiative or strategy.
Creates visualization methods and applications.
Designs, codes, tests, and debugs software applications.
Evaluates and tests new technologies and applications.
Develops prototypes to validate new technologies.
Provides technical support to internal Application Engineers and System Support Engineers on newly developed technologies or applications.
Provides support for documentation and learning tools for newly developed technologies and applications, including associated training of both internal and external personnel.
Assists in troubleshooting project and services related networking issues.
Provides technical support to complement company D&T resources, where and when appropriate.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related field, or a two year technical degree in Computer Science or other closely related field and minimum five years' of work experience in related field.
Minimum two years' industry experience in developing software or working with analytics programs preferred.

A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must possess a working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language such as Java or C#.
Should possess a working knowledge of relational, time-series, and/or tag database systems.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Prior knowledge of building automation systems (HVAC and lighting) is beneficial.
Familiar with the following; software development tools, such as the Atlassian product line (JIRA, BitBucket, etc.), different styles of software development processes such as agile, both Windows and Linux server environments, and the setup of networks and cloud environments.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
