Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Flask. In this role, you will build RESTful APIs, develop automation solutions, optimize databases, and support data processing initiatives. You will work at the intersection of automotive engineering, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to transform complex laboratory and vehicle data into meaningful engineering insights.

Job Description

As a Backend Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python and Flask.
• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
• Process and analyse data using Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Optimize application performance, database efficiency, and data quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of Experience in backend development in Python
• Hands-on experience with Flask and REST API development.
• Knowledge of building automation scripts using Selenium/Playwright
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar).
• Experience with automation scripting and data processing.
• Proficiency in Pandas, NumPy, Git, and database design concepts.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JWT, OAuth, or API security.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in the Automotive industry is preferred.
