We are seeking an Expert Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to lead advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical efforts supporting NGA and the GEOINT mission. This role will evaluate complex systems, architectures, requirements, and data to inform mission decisions, optimize system performance, and shape future GEOINT capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Operations Research, System-of-Systems analysis, modeling and simulation, and cloud environments, with the ability to translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for government stakeholders and mission partners.
Key Responsibilities
Modeling, Simulation & Analysis
- Lead modeling, simulation, and analysis of complex System-of-Systems and Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Develop and apply sophisticated models, simulations, tools, and algorithms to analyze complex systems and large-scale data.
- Conduct Analysis of Alternatives, performance trades, design trades, and capability assessments.
- Evaluate system architectures, requirements, and performance to support technical and mission decisions.
- Analyze MS&A results and develop recommendations for deploying capabilities across NSG architectures and cloud environments.
Technical & Mission Support
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to structured and unstructured Big Data and complex mission environments.
- Support the evaluation of emerging technologies and capabilities to inform the future of GEOINT.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and mission partners to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Consider NGA and NSG strategies, architectures, and future mission needs when developing analytical solutions.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level MS&A Engineers.
- Lead complex MS&A efforts and provide subject matter expertise across multiple technical and mission areas.
Location: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent additional experience.
- 18+ years of experience supporting modeling, simulation, analysis, and/or Operations Research in large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments.
- Experience working in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures.
- Experience developing and using modeling, simulation, and analytical tools in cloud environments.
- Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.
- Previous IC or DoD program or project experience.
- TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and successfully complete a polygraph.
Desired:
- Master’s degree in a related STEM field.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
- 18+ years of experience in Operations Research.
- Experience performing MS&A on cloud-based solutions and architectures.
- Experience performing MS&A using structured and unstructured Big Data.
- Experience with machine learning, automation, augmentation, and/or artificial intelligence technologies.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
