Job description

We are seeking an Expert Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to lead advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical efforts supporting NGA and the GEOINT mission. This role will evaluate complex systems, architectures, requirements, and data to inform mission decisions, optimize system performance, and shape future GEOINT capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Operations Research, System-of-Systems analysis, modeling and simulation, and cloud environments, with the ability to translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for government stakeholders and mission partners.

Key Responsibilities

Modeling, Simulation & Analysis

  • Lead modeling, simulation, and analysis of complex System-of-Systems and Service-Oriented Architectures.
  • Develop and apply sophisticated models, simulations, tools, and algorithms to analyze complex systems and large-scale data.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives, performance trades, design trades, and capability assessments.
  • Evaluate system architectures, requirements, and performance to support technical and mission decisions.
  • Analyze MS&A results and develop recommendations for deploying capabilities across NSG architectures and cloud environments.

Technical & Mission Support

  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to structured and unstructured Big Data and complex mission environments.
  • Support the evaluation of emerging technologies and capabilities to inform the future of GEOINT.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and mission partners to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Consider NGA and NSG strategies, architectures, and future mission needs when developing analytical solutions.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level MS&A Engineers.
  • Lead complex MS&A efforts and provide subject matter expertise across multiple technical and mission areas.

Location: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA
