Job description

Field Service Engineer (Homelift Engineer)

Location: Yeovil

Salary £29,416 per annum + Overtime + Call Out Allowance + Company Bonus Scheme + Company Vehicle

At Stiltz, we're looking for people who want to build a long-term career with us and grow their engineering skills within a supportive team environment. If you enjoy problem-solving, learning new skills, and working in a practical, hands-on environment, this could be a great opportunity to build your future with a growing global company. Full training will be provided.

No two days are the same ...

In this field-based engineering role, one day you could be installing a new Stiltz homelift, and the next helping a customer get back up and running.

You’ll work independently in the field, travelling across the South West region, while being fully supported by a collaborative engineering team that’s committed to your development and success. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills and grow your long-term career in engineering.

What we can offer:

  • Starting salary £29,416 per annum

  • Opportunity to earn overtime + call out allowance + bonus scheme + company vehicle

  • 25 days holiday + 8 statutory bank holidays + 1 extra day off for your birthday!

  • Life assurance + critical illness cover

  • Pension scheme

  • Company bonus scheme

  • Enhanced cash health scheme + wellbeing support

  • Employee referral scheme

  • Employee discounts

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Fully supported induction and ongoing training.

  • Genuine career progression opportunities.

You don’t need experience in homelifts specifically. If you have experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment—or transferable technical skills—and a positive, practical approach to work, we’ll provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

What you will do:

  • Install our award winning Stiltz Homelifts in customer homes

  • Service, maintain and repair homelifts

  • Diagnose faults and solve technical problems

  • Respond to occasional breakdown call outs

  • Manage your van stock, tools and equipment

  • Deliver a great customer experience every day

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for people who are reliable, motivated, and eager to learn. A strong work ethic and a practical, hands-on approach are important, along with a willingness to develop your skills through full training and support.

You'll also need:

  • Full UK driving license - essential, as company vehicle provided

  • Good communication skills

  • Confidence working independently

  • Flexibility to travel across the region (with occasional overnight stays)

A technical qualification is beneficial but not essential. If you have relevant hands-on experience or transferable technical skills, we’d love to hear from you.

What Stiltz do

Stiltz design and install homelifts that improve people’s independence and quality of life. As demand continues to grow across the UK and internationally, we are investing in the next generation of engineers.

No product experience needed - full training and support provided - you might already have experience in:

  • Automotive or mechanics

  • Telecoms or communications

  • Manufacturing

  • Rail or transport

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Field service engineering

Build your future with us

This is an opportunity to join a growing business where you can develop practical engineering skills, gain valuable industry experience, and build a long-term career. You’ll receive ongoing training and support from day one to help you succeed and progress. APPLY NOW AND START YOUR JOURNEY WITH STILTZ!

No agencies please. We work with a carefully selected set of recruitment agencies and we're not looking to add to our PSL. We do not accept unsolicited agency CV's sent to the recruitment team or directly to the hiring manager and will not be responsible for any fees related to unsolicited CV's.
