Purpose

The Product Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the site’s operational activities, including product receipt, isotank filling, and shipment of finished products in various packaging formats. The role ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards while maintaining product quality and on-time deliveries, always with a strong focus on meeting customer requirements.

 

Role Accountabilities

The Product Specialist reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance. The role is responsible for coordinating and supporting site operations related to product handling, isotank filling, inventory control, shipping activities, and regulatory compliance. This is achieved by ensuring safe and efficient operational processes, maintaining equipment and inventory availability, supporting customer delivery requirements, and promoting compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule shipments in accordance with customer plans, coordinate product dispatches, oversee isotank filling activities, and monitor deliveries of finished products to customers.
  • Enter and maintain operational information in SAP related to receiving, inventory management, and invoicing processes.
  • Coordinate isotank maintenance activities and plan preventive maintenance for the isotank filling area.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees and contractors. Verify the availability of emergency and safety equipment, including SCBA units, Class A suits, emergency response equipment, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and gas detection devices.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams and serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team, supporting fire response, rescue operations, and first-aid activities.
  • Provide leadership to the on-site operational team by supervising and coordinating contractors’ daily activities, including plant operations, warehouse logistics, shipping, transportation, and security services.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of materials and machinery components required for reliable operations.
  • Develop, update, communicate, and enforce operational and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) procedures and standards.
  • Lead site regulatory compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of required reports and permits such as the Annual Environmental Report (COA), Civil Protection Plan, Operating Licenses, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs and ensure employees receive the necessary training to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.



Skills and Experience


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.


Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Experience in operations management, quality control, inventory management, and shipment coordination.
  • Experience working with safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
