Job Overview
As a member of Ethicrithm’s Delivery team, the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a highly technical and client-facing role.  You are the bridge between Palantir's powerful Foundry and AIP platform and the client's mission-critical challenges.  You will work directly with clients to understand their needs, implement and customize solutions, and empower them to leverage data for better decision-making.

 

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a passion for making a real-world impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Build deep relationships with clients, understand their workflows, and identify opportunities to apply Palantir technologies. This includes conducting user interviews, facilitating workshops, and presenting solutions.
  • Solution Implementation: Deploy, configure, and customize the Palantir platform to meet specific client requirements. This may involve writing code, scripting, integrating with existing systems, and managing data pipelines.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues, debug code, and find creative solutions to complex challenges. You will be the go-to expert for the client on all things Palantir.
  • Training and Enablement: Train client users on how to effectively use Palantir software. Develop training materials and provide ongoing support.
  • Project Management: Contribute to project planning, execution, and reporting. Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Services Feedback: Gather feedback from clients, communicate it to the Delivery team’s leadership and contribute to improving the delivery of services to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and client teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.  
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript. 
  • Significant experience with data integration, ETL processes and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).  Ability to work with large datasets. 
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Client-Facing Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Empathy and a desire to understand client needs.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Comfort working in ambiguous situations and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Agile/Scrum Experience: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

 

Desired Skills and Competencies (not mandatory)

  • Experience with delivering frontend applications in React.
  • Experience with delivering ML and/or LLM-based solutions.
  • Experience with Spark and distributed compute.
