Job Summary:

Designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle.  Provides the necessary documentation.  Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.  Mentors those in less senior positions.

Job Specific Information:

This position is to support the Enterprise Rating Organization.  This position requires the design and development of Revenue Systems applications in Java.  Must be capable of becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the business rules of the application and be able to develop design documents in support of new corporate initiatives.  This position requires performing production support duties, support of all levels of test execution and ability to diagnose system issues.  Must be able to communicate to all levels of management and work as a member of a team.
 
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:

Demonstrated development / support experience with two or more development languages for client-server and Web applications using Java and J2EE technologies, including:

  • Java
  • WebLogic
  • HTML5
  • Redis Caching
  • Materialize
  • SOAP/RESTful Web Services
  • Spring Framework
  • Hibernate/JPA implementation
  • Junit Test Framework
  • JMS Messaging
  • Linux OS, scripting
  • Oracle/SQL Developer
  • Understanding of SAFe Methodology
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tuxedo configuration and development is a plus
  • Strong interest in remaining current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, Tennessee (Memphis) or Orlando, Florida. 

Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Four (4) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
