Job Summary:
Under close supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Skills / Knowledge, Considered A Plus:
- Design, test and configure infrastructures and solutions for various applications and configurations.
- Utilize strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or other system issues in both production and devtest environments.
- Skills in languages: Java and SQL
- Source control tools: Git, Subversion, TFS
- Maven and Gradle build frameworks
- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Integration technologies; such as SOAP, JMS, and REST
- Understanding of network design and architecture
- JAVA 8 or higher
- Object Oriented Design and Development experience
- Understand of software design patterns
- Understand the SAFE Agile framework
- Knowledge of software craftsmanship and Agile best practices
- Develop various tools using configuration language and scripting languages/tools such as:
- Ansible
- Bolt
- Python
- Perl
- Bourne and Korn Shell
- Groovy Scripting (Jenkins)
- IaaS scripted pipeline
- Identify and create processes to integrate technology improvements into business processes.
- Responsible for projects including the implementation of remediation activities, patch management, and firmware updates, and general troubleshooting in a highly complex environment.
- Provide Level 3+ technical support in critical production support issues, interacting with developers and architects.
- Familiarity with Cloud solutions for systems deployments.
- Supports user account management and security requirements.
- Supports data and system integrity through upgrades, patching, restoration processes, and incident remediation.
- Maintains peer and user documentation for existing and new processes.
- Supports lifecycle management from installation, maintenance, configuration, escalation of issues, and decommissioning in *NIX systems/environments.
