We’re currently seeking an energetic Web Applications Developer for our Federal Civilian Practice. A software engineer with experience developing web-based business intelligence applications. This position develops all web application layers necessary to provide applications for business reporting, report interaction, and data consumption.  This position will be in Fairfax, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops web applications.
  • Configures and administers middleware components of web applications.
  • Provides highly technical expertise and guidance on the evaluation, implementation, tuning, optimization, operation and maintenance of web-based reporting and business intelligence systems.
  • Works closely with other systems development and IT maintenance organizations to formulate specifications, develop, and configure applications.

    Required skills\/abilities:

    • 5+ years’ experience with core platforms and development tools: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
    • The ability to design and create the new high-impact data visualization applications to make data actionable and facilitate decision making for the clients
    • Experience JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, DataTables.js, D3.js, crossfilter, Dc.js
    • Experience Responsive Mobile design tools (Bootstrap)
    • Experience Ajax implementation, including JSON and\/or XML experience
    • Experience with large data sets (SQL, Oracle, Excel, etc.)
    • Rapid, iterative, low and high-fidelity prototyping

      Preferred Skills\/Experience:  

      • Experience with these platforms and development tools: Oracle TimesTen, C, C++, Java\/JSP
      • Experience with US Postal Service operations, systems and\/or applications
