Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.
Job Specific Information:
The successful candidate will serve as a Modern Web developer and technical leader within the fedex.com Development organization as part of our Visibility Agile Release Train.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop new and enhance modern web applications in Angular
- Analyze business requirements, refine features and user stories
- Support production environment as required for system failures
- Identify quality improvements to minimize production errors and outages
- Design new customer capabilities & refactor existing systems to ensure high performance, reliability and resilience
- Work in a SAFe Agile Scrum team with team members from both Business & IT
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
- Familiar with unit and functional testing tools and processes
- Strong Oral & Written Communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, TN (Memphis area), Colorado, CO, Irving, TX, Plano, TX (Dallas area), Orlando, FL, or Coraopolis, PA (Pittsburgh area).
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
