Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, analyze and develop system requirements, program specifications, design, and code/unit test to meet business requirements/specifications for large projects. Develop or contribute to deliverables for additional levels of testing and support test execution including system level and Integration tests. Resolve production problems of medium to high complexity. The incumbents of this position are expected to perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Specific Information:
This position is to support the Enterprise Rating Organization.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Design and development of Revenue Systems applications in Java, C, C++.
* Capable of becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the business rules of the application and be able to develop & design documents in support of new corporate initiatives.
* Performing production support duties, support of all levels of test execution and ability to diagnose system issues.
* Communicate to all levels of management and work as a member of a team.
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
* Demonstrated senior level development / support experience with two or more development languages for client-server and Web applications using Java and J2EE technologies, including:
- WebLogic
- SOAP/RESTful Web Services
- Spring Framework
- Hibernate/JPA implementation
- Junit Test Framework
- JMS Messaging
- Linux OS, scripting
- C/C++
- Oracle/SQL Developer
* Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Tuxedo configuration and development is a plus
* Strong interest in remaining current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Orlando, FL, Collierville, TN (Memphis area) or Plano, TX (Dallas area).
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
