Job Description

This position exists in an Agile Release Train focused on building solutions to provide a Pickup and Delivery solution for FedEx corporation. The Full Stack Developer will work with Stakeholders, peer developers and Application Architects to understand and document user stories, then work to design, develop, and test software. В  This position exists on a development team that follows Extreme Programming practices such as pairing and test-driven development.В 

Minimum Qualifications:В 
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. RequiresВ three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Job Information Details:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer III to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Developer III, you will:

  • Design, code, and write Unit Tests enterprise scale solutions to support the organization’s business strategy and goals.
  • Test, Build, and deploy software in all levels.
  • Work closely with our business product owners on an Agile team to fully understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification as needed.
  • Work with other engineers on a collaborative Agile team to deliver code on an ongoing basis.
  • Support test execution including system level and integration tests.
  • Provide and manage necessary documentation.
  • Works with databases, APIs, Messaging technologies, servers, networks, and various programming languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, frameworks, and tools.В 
  • Working knowledge and hands on experience of the Software Development Processes and lifecycle management including SAFE/Agile and XP methodologies.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Service-oriented, Microservice, API-first and Cloud-native architecture.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate.
  • Review requirements and data models and translate into responsible applications and architecture.
  • Conduct design and code reviews with extended team to ensure that code meets FedEx Enterprise Foundational Services standards.
  • Track and resolve software defects.
  • Support test execution including system level and integration tests.
  • Mentors those in less senior positions.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
  • Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud REST and SOAP Services.
  • PCF, Cloud Native Development, Docker.
  • Junit, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD, & GIT.
  • Native Android (Java/Kotlin).
  • Barcoding technologies.
  • Angular.
  • Oracle, Redis, DataStax, & JMS.
  • Unix/Linux/Windows.
  • Splunk, AppD, & Swagger.
  • BDD Tools - Cucumber / Gherkins.
  • Experience in leading 12-Factor application and Cloud platform implementation.
  • Understanding of software design patterns.
  • Knowledge of software craftsmanship and Agile best practices.
  • Knowledge of application development on Android or iOS platforms.
  • Mobile UI/UX design.
  • Source control tools: Git, Subversion, TFS
  • Understanding of network design and architecture.
  • Familiar with microservice architecture principle.

Salary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $6,848.00 - $12,194.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
