Compensation: Monthly Salary $7438 - $10227

Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle.  Provides the necessary documentation.  Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.

Job Specific Information:

This is a senior-level position that will work on a continuous flow (Kanban) agile systems team supporting package sortation systems. This person should have strong communications and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both internal and external team members to deliver functioning development environments and drive automation and continuous improvement wherever possible. This person should be able to share their knowledge and coach others to help drive best implementation practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python
  • Understanding of current hardware in Hubs, Auto-sats and manual stations.
  • Work with development teams to ensure software delivery pipeline is as efficient as possible.
  • Develop tools that improve monitoring, visualization, alerting, and reporting
  • Find scalability bottlenecks and areas for performance improvements
  • Design, test and configure infrastructure and solutions for various applications and configurations.
  • Responsible for facilitating the automation of checkouts across the value stream.
  • Remediation activities such as patch deployments and operating systems updates in a highly complex environment.
  • Actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of the system by applying the learnings from monitoring and observation.
  • Align with L2 and L3 teams to create reliable and operational support solutions.
  • Mentor and train others on the team.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Domicile:
  • Coraopolis, PA (Suburb of Pittsburgh)
  • The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
