Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.
Job Specific Information:
For a newly-formed Release Engineering team, we're seeking a senior-level experienced DevOps professional to help us continuously improve and innovate our development, test, release, and monitoring strategies and implementations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Standardize CI / CD pipelines and processes across our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) angular-based modern web applications, automate setup / configuration activities
- Own release engineering evolution and continuous improvement, and adapt as changes become available
- Triage all Production defects coming to CIAM, identify all CIAM impacts, validate that they are reproducible and contain adequate information to be resolved, and reassign to other teams as needed
- Optimize and mature CIAM production monitoring using Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and other commercial / proprietary tools
- Research and make available new tools and techniques to the ART to fulfill our quality, reliability, and business agility goals
- Explore and introduce machine learning / AI / AIOps capabilities
- Develop and maintain angular (v13+) shared UI components for modern web applications (applicable to team members with angular development experience)
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
- Use of tools / platforms: Docker, Cloudbees Jenkins and Flow, Qualys, Fortify, GitHub / GitLab, SonarQube, Karma, Jasmine, Cypress, WireMock, Chrome Developer Tools, *nix scripting, Groovy / Python / Angular software development, Pivotal Cloud Foundry PaaS, proxy tools such as Burp Suite
- Implementation / use of concepts: release-on-demand, blue / green, canary, feature flags, test-in-isolation, ephemeral environments, service virtualization, deployment in Microsoft Azure, automated-rollbacks, post-deployment automated testing, DAST, SAST, everything-as-code, OWASP Top Ten and Web Security Testing Guide
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Domicile: This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
