The Work
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java, REST APIs, and microservices.
Build and enhance responsive, modern front-end applications using Angular and React.
Develop cloud-native solutions and infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform, leveraging modern cloud services, scalable architecture patterns, and Infrastructure as Code.
Support solution design, technical documentation, code reviews, and delivery planning across front-end and back-end workstreams.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, supporting automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
Apply secure coding practices, performance optimization, and quality engineering principles across the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with architects, managers, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
Provide technical guidance to team members, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies and sprint execution.
Ability to work shifts/on-call; comfort working on-site in high-security environments.
Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment.
This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Ottawa.
Qualification
What You’ll Need
Minimum 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience developing end-to-end system features across both user experience and backend code.
Experience developing full stack applications using Java, REST APIs, microservices, Angular, and React.
Experience building scalable front-end and back-end components and delivering cloud-first, Agile solutions using Google Cloud Platform, IaC, and cloud-native development.
Master proficiency in Application Design, with experience delivering scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Experience with GitHub Actions, DevOps, automated testing, release management, SQA, and ALM.
Experience solving complex technical challenges, contributing to key decisions, collaborating across teams, and mentoring team members.
Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field.
Must be open to working from the office three times per week.
Eligibility for Reliability Security Clearance.
Bonus Points If You Have
Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance or currently holds Top Secret Security Clearance status.
Google Cloud Platform certification or hands-on experience supporting GCP-based modernization programs.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, and platform engineering practices.
Experience with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and scalable integration patterns.
Experience supporting public sector, government, or regulated industry clients.
Experience mentoring junior developers or providing technical direction within Agile delivery teams.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time
employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
