About the job
It’s very important to us that the candidates share our conviction of bootstrapping and love of the web/tech world, you should have an intuitive feel for what works and what doesn’t online! Keep it simple and keep it lean is our mission so we are not flexible when it comes to cultural fit.
Your profile
- You take pride in the code you write - it's clean, organized, and elegant
- You want to work in an agile environment - we move quickly and ship code often
- You really hate when stuff breaks or could just be better and it keeps you up at night
- You see the bigger picture (you realize that there are really exciting tasks and then there's bug fixing) but at the end of the day you're happy we're moving forward as a team, as a company, and as a product
- You're friendly and/or interesting and are just cool to hang out with
- Experienced web developer with strong understanding of PYTHON/PHP
- Love MVC frameworks (Django knowledge a plus)
- Up to date with latest HTML/CSS/AJAX/etc. – front-end stuff
- Comfortable with SQL databases
- Comfortable with Git
- Obsessed about reducing operational overhead whenever and wherever possible
- Write unit test, but are not militant about things like testing frameworks and code coverage
