Job Description:
The Agile Software Developer will be responsible for all aspects of Application Software Development including estimation, analysis, design, programming, installation & configuration, unit/integration testing and code debugging on medium to large development initiatives with medium to high complexity. Successful candidates possess business acumen knowledge, creativity, decision making skills, a drive for results, the ability to negotiate, the ability to develop peer relationships, and a strong technical learning background.
Responsibilities:
- Works on a small, cross-functional Agile team
- Interfaces with client on a regular basis
- Estimates and provides status on work effort
- Demonstrates working product during Sprint Review
- Identifies potential issues in projects/assignments and leads to a resolution
- Drives high quality code by Test-Driving code and integration testing
- Conducts unit testing as defined in department standards
- Creates (or provides input to) technical documentation for transition to production support team
- Follows all team agreed upon guidelines
- Follows and contributes to coding and development standards
- Participates actively in incremental design that is inherent to Agile on medium to large initiatives with medium complexity
- Explains technical solution to client and technical resources
- Trains other Developers
- Participates in interview and selection process of new team members
- Implement user-friendly interfaces
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience web/internet-based programming experience
- Proficient with front end technologies
- 5+ years of experience with OOA/OOD, distributed systems/software, real time processing, relational database systems, messaging systems
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
- Demonstrated experience working with core business logic within applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with the following:
- Agile, test-driven development
- Rich UI frameworks/libraries like AngularJS, ReactJS, Vue or similar frameworks/APIs
- Application development frameworks like Express, Hapi, Django or similar frameworks
- SOA and Web Services
- Unix/Linux, Windows
- Build, deploy and test automation tools like Ant, Maven, Hudson, Jenkins, Cruise Control, Chef, Jasmine, Selenium or similar tools
- Developing APIs and Frameworks
