Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Ashburn, VA (On-site/Hybrid)
NeatDevs, LLC is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer (3-5 years experience) to join our innovative team working on mission-critical solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In this role, you'll leverage modern technologies including Java, Angular, Python, React, and more, to develop robust applications designed to safeguard national interests.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality full-stack software solutions using technologies such as Java, Angular, Python, and React.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative, secure, and scalable applications.
- Implement agile methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, and DevSecOps principles to enhance software delivery and performance.
- Participate actively in all phases of software development, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Employ test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) techniques using tools like GitLab and Harness.
- Utilize modern UI frameworks, web development technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) effectively.
- Support AWS cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Perform rigorous testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CBP Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline and 3-5 years of software development experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with Java, Angular, Python, and React.
- Proven experience with relational databases including Oracle DB, PostgreSQL DB, and MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and Agile tools and methodologies (GitLab, Harness, Docker, Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance with CBP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud services, specifically AWS and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and web services development.
- Certifications in Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Proficiency with advanced software development practices such as CI/CD, test automation, and code quality assessments.
