What Are You Going to Do?

We are seeking a Head of Secure Infrastructure to lead and develop our infrastructure and cyber security operations capabilities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in major transformation projects. A key focus is the consolidation and harmonization of decentralized data centers and office network environments across the valantic group.

Main Responsibilities:

• Build, lead, and develop teams for infrastructure engineering, networking, and cyber security operations.
• Define and implement a secure, scalable, and standardized infrastructure strategy across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Drive consolidation of decentralized compute, storage, and networking landscapes.
• Lead and support transformation projects with a hands-on approach.
• Establish secure network architectures, segmentation, and connectivity standards.
• Oversee and evolve cyber security operations (SIEM/SOAR, incident response, vulnerability management).
• Ensure alignment with ISO 27001 and internal governance standards.

What Do We Expect?

• 10+ years in infrastructure, security engineering, or IT operations; 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in data center consolidation and infrastructure modernization.
• Strong technical expertise in hybrid cloud, virtualization, networking, and security platforms (Microsoft 365/Azure a plus).
• Ability to work across decentralized teams and drive change in a fast-growing organization.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
