The Operations Manager will provide day-to-day contractor coordination and operational oversight at assigned Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) sites in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) POTFF Program. This role ensures staffing continuity, accurate data visibility, and seamless integration of contractor personnel supporting Human Performance, Psychological Performance, Cognitive Performance, and Social/Family domains across Component Commands and Theater Special Operations Commands.

HOW AN OPERATIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Support the PMO to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of the contract
  • Leads teams to define program’s staffing plans and executes all resource management requirements
  • Manages the initial screening/evaluation of candidate’s professional experience, education, and applicable certifications to ensure compliance with GDIT’s and the contract’s labor category requirements
  • Coordinate interviews of candidate personnel with hiring managers
  • Plan, analyze, and determine hiring needs based on attrition, surge, and emerging customer requirements
  • Serve as first-line monitor for vacancies and absences exceeding 15 consecutive workdays and escalate within the 24-hour window.
  • Feed Component staffing, credentialing, and vacancy data into the Program Management Tool (PMT) for near-real-time Government visibility.
  • Support the interview process for their respective components.
  • Maintain accurate PMT/roster entries for their site so credentialing status, clearances, and labor hours stay current.
  • Support onboarding logistics and local Government integration for incoming personnel.
  • Coordinate with Component leads, Government site representatives, and higher-level program management to maintain mission continuity and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to staffing gaps, credentialing delays, or administrative bottlenecks.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable Statement of Work (SOW) requirements, security protocols, and reporting standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree

  • 7 or more years’ experience in operations, program management, or military support roles considered.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and escalation skills; ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
  • Familiarity with credentialing, security clearance processes, and labor-hour tracking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with POTFF, H2F, or comparable SOF human performance programs.
  • Prior military or contractor support experience with USSOCOM Components (USASOC, MARSOC, AFSOC, NSW, JSOC, TSOCs).
  • Proficiency with personnel management tools, staffing databases, and real-time reporting systems.
