Job Description
Conduent is looking for an Implementation Project Manager to successfully lead project implementations to meet timelines and budget requirements for the Transport line of business. The manager will coordinate and prioritize project tasks, manage timelines, maintain project plans, and communicate status to clients, project sponsors, and senior management. This position will report to the Director of Implementation under Conduent’s Public Safety division and be responsible for managing client implementations, establishing schedules, coordinating internal cross-functional dependencies, and helping both client and the internal team prepare for photo enforcement program launches.
Successful candidates must have a strong sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion and be successful in a collaborative environment. Communication skills are critical, and the ability to quantify and manage all aspects of the project, balancing client and internal team objectives while adhering to established timelines and contract scope.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and conduct project kickoff meetings.
- Create project schedules and define project deliverables based around project scope supplied by the Sales team.
- Track and manage project milestones and client-reported issues.
- Communicate status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, agendas, scope amendments, and key client communication archives.
- Be the primary point of contact for all client inquiries for projects being implemented.
- Work closely with the Engineering and IT Services to resolve complex issues reported by the client and internal team
- Coordinate closely with the operations program manager during the implementation lifecycle to maintain excellent client relationships and communication.
- Host recurring client conference calls to drive project execution; travel onsite to assigned client facilities when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. This position requires extensive interaction on the phone, web conferencing, and e-mail with our external clients, third-party vendors, and other Conduent employees. Demonstrated experience interacting with client stakeholders at all management levels.
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the public safety services or construction industry with demonstrated responsibility and success is required.
- Experience interfacing with external clients, including written, telephonic and face-to-face interactions and project-level communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word is required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead a project team of technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to perform successfully in a high-pressure, fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Careful attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
