Job Description
This position will give you the opportunity to:
Lead Customer Integrations
- Serve as the primary technical resource for customer integration initiatives.
- Partner with customer IT, engineering, and security teams to understand technical requirements and business objectives.
- Design scalable integration solutions utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, MQTT, event-driven architectures, and modern data exchange methods.
- Guide customers through implementation while providing consultative recommendations and managing technical tradeoffs.
- Drive integration projects from discovery through successful production deployment.
Build Integration Solutions
- Develop reusable integration frameworks, reference architectures, and sample applications.
- Create and maintain connectors, SDK examples, APIs, and supporting integration tooling.
- Design secure authentication and authorization workflows, including enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Support integrations with ERP, CMMS, MES, IoT, analytics, and enterprise business platforms.
- Collaborate with Engineering to continuously improve the Waites API platform and integration capabilities.
Enable Customer Success
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide implementation guidance throughout onboarding and deployment.
- Conduct recurring technical check-ins with customers during active integration projects.
- Resolve complex customer challenges through a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout every engagement.
Create Technical Resources
- Develop customer-facing integration documentation, implementation guides, and technical best practices.
- Build reusable templates and reference implementations that accelerate future deployments.
- Contribute to long-term integration standards and product enablement resources.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Customer Success teams to improve the customer experience.
- Provide customer feedback to influence API enhancements and future product capabilities.
- Help establish scalable integration standards, security best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Assist in prioritizing integration roadmap initiatives.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience designing, developing, or supporting enterprise software integrations.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with JSON and modern API technologies.
- Professional development experience using JavaScript and Python.
- Experience implementing or supporting SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or other SSO technologies.
- Understanding of secure, multi-tenant application architectures.
- Ability to develop production-quality code, prototypes, and integration tooling.
- Excellent troubleshooting, solution design, and analytical problem-solving skills with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical consulting, solutions engineering, or implementation capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, and create structure in fast-moving environments.
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to balance customer needs with sound technical judgment and business priorities.
- Collaborative approach with experience partnering across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Integration consulting or enterprise implementation experience.
- Experience integrating ERP, CMMS, MES, or other enterprise business platforms.
- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi, etc.).
- Experience with IoT platforms, MQTT, Node-RED, or event streaming technologies.
- Product management or technical product experience.
- Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation and implementation guides.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth SaaS environment.
- Strategic thinker who enjoys designing scalable, reusable integration frameworks and long-term technical solutions.
- Builder's mindset with a passion for improving processes, enabling customer success, and driving innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and contribute to product and integration strategy.
