  • Lead mechanical design and equipment selection for concentrator circuits (crushing, SAG/ball mill, flotation), including vendor coordination (Metso, FLSmidth, Weir)
  • Develop and review plant layouts, slurry systems, pumping systems and material handling designs in collaboration with process and piping teams
  • Support site work, including commissioning, troubleshooting and validating installed equipment in the field
  • Contribute to studies (PFS/FS) through to detailed design, including equipment sizing, specifications and bid evaluations
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, methodologies and proposals
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers by actively sharing knowledge and supporting skill development within the team
  • Build trusting, high-quality business relationships
  • Be a project manager, engineering manager or project leader on engineering mandates within the mining industry (optional and based on skill level)

  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Inspirational leadership

  • 6–12 years of experience in mineral processing plants (metals); candidates with more or a little less experience may be considered
  • Mechanical engineer with a P.Eng. designation anywhere in Canada

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to project sites, with valid driver’s licence required

  • Hands-on experience with crushing, SAG/ball mill circuits, flotation, pumps, piping and dewatering
  • Proven track record as a mechanical engineer with strong technical skills on mineral processing plant projects
  • Ability to interpret PFDs and process design criteria from process engineering, prepare plant layouts, select and validate mechanical equipment and size pumps
  • Ability to work on technically complex processing plants and restarts, not just standard layouts
  • Experience with studies (PFS/FS) through to detailed design and commissioning
  • Asset: site experience
