Job description

Opportunity

Our Development team is growing and we’re looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about mastering the best practices of Test Engineering, employing various techniques such as Unit Testing, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing (browser based), and helping us in implementing a modern Continuous Delivery pipeline. We’re AI-first but human-accountable — you’ll use AI to move faster, and your judgment to make sure what we ship is right. Your work will have tremendous impact, allowing your team to rapidly release code to customers with confidence.

About Method

Method is on a mission to transform how small businesses operate by giving them real control over their customer workflows. Our flagship product, Method CRM is purpose-built for small businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and generic tools. With deep QuickBooks integration and a powerful no-code customization engine, Method enables users to design workflows that truly fit their unique needs. As a scaling growth company, we’re now taking that mission further, leveraging AI to develop intelligent agents that assist users in rapidly building and customizing no-code apps. This innovation is at the heart of our next chapter, and we’re looking for people who are excited to build the future of work!

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of a driven and supportive team that’s always striving to deliver value to our customers by:

● Developing high quality Integration Tests, End-to-End Tests and Performance Tests to ensure fast and reliable iterative development.

● Create test plans and test cases in an Agile environment.

● Use AI to accelerate the testing process and test authoring, with disciplined human verification of coverage and correctness.

● Take on light coding - such as fixing bugs and making small changes, with the help of an AI assistant.

● Help your team in delivering a high quality product.

● Participate and share your ideas in technical discussions.

● Help your team make progress against its KPIs and the team’s North Star metric.

● Develop your craft, build and share your experience in the field.

What You Bring

Before you read this next section, we want you to know that we know the “ideal candidate” doesn’t exist — everybody has a unique background and skill set. Even if you don’t check every box below, we’d love for you to apply - we are building for the future and growth potential is a priority for us!

  • Post-secondary education in the following areas preferred: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent training/experience.

  • Good understanding of JavaScript/Typescript, and Python languages.

  • Good understanding of relational databases, especially SQL Server.

  • 3+ years of working experience in developing Integration Testing (API level) with Python or other languages.

  • 3+ years of working experience with Playwright or Selenium based tools.

  • Works AI-first with disciplined verification - uses AI to accelerate test design and authoring, and neither avoids it on principle nor trusts its output blindly.

  • Fluent with Git source control, and GitHub.

  • Passionate for building engaging user experiences.

  • Must be self-motivated, goal driven and possess the ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the overall team’s success in a fast paced environment.

  • Experience with the following is a nice to have: exposure to Gatling, Postman, .NET Web stack: MVC, Web API, React, Redux, MongoDB, ElasticSearch and Redis, good understanding of OOD/OOP, and experience with Agile methodology, such as Kanban or Scrum.
