Decision Point Corporation is looking for an Intermediate Software Developer to join our team supporting the Transportation Geospatial Information System (TGIS) at Scott AFB, IL.
This position is on a hybrid telecommute model with onsite work at Scott AFB.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets.
- Write clean, maintainable code using object-oriented design patterns and solid principles
- Develop comprehensive unit test suites with high code coverage using mocking frameworks (Moq, NSubstitute)
- Support and enhance legacy .NET Framework applications while planning modernization strategies
- Engage in application design process as a technical contributor.
- Troubleshoot advanced production issues in collaboration with DevOps.
- Stay up to date on advanced programming techniques and software technologies.
- Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements.
- Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional Development team in a fast paced highly technical environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain active Secret security clearance required.
- Associates degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Security+ Certification required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in system integration is a plus.
- Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a development team.
- Experience with the Agile software development process in accordance with USG defined requirements.
- Experience developing applications in .NET, C#, and C++
- Experience developing in a Cloud environment.
- Experience working with hybrid/remote development teams.
- Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in system integration is a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working on a GIS application.
- Experience with Oracle.
- Experience with AWS EC2.
- Familiarity with basic server administration tasks.
- Familiarity working with IA (Information Assurance) and QA.
- Experience Developing in Java
Compensation: Anticipated salary range is $100,000.00–$105,000.00 per year.
