The Opportunity – Build the Future with Us

Join WSP’s Resources Engineering group as an Intermediate Structural Engineer and contribute to complex heavy industrial and mining projects based out of our Saskatoon office.
In this role, you will apply your structural engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle — from conceptual design through to project completion — while delivering technically sound, cost‑effective solutions and supporting multidisciplinary project teams.

Your Impact

  • Deliver structural designs and calculations for industrial buildings and structures from concept through construction.
  • Take ownership of technical decisions and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and constructability.
  • Support design management activities, collaborating with senior engineers on key technical matters.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support seamless project delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and contribute to technical reports and construction specifications.
  • Participate in site investigations, inspections, and assessments of existing structures.
  • Engage with clients and contractors, attending project meetings and conducting field reviews as required.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGS in the Province of Saskatchewan in Structural Engineering.
  • Proven experience designing steel and concrete industrial structures in Canada.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as S‑Frame, STAAD Pro, or SAP.
  • Experience working directly with clients and contractors on industrial or heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound engineering judgment, and take accountability for technical outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with the ability to contribute positively in a project‑based environment.
