We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support the Product Owner in the development and continuous improvement of Trip Plans and the Vessel Utilization Management (VUM) application. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines strong business analysis capabilities with data analytics skills and solid experience in transportation, logistics, or shipping environments. You will act as a key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, helping translate operational needs into scalable product capabilities, improving decision-making through data, and ensuring that solutions remain practical, intuitive, and aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- · Support the Product Owner in shaping and delivering product enhancements for Trip Plans and VUM.
- · Gather, challenge, and formalize business requirements through workshops and discussions with operational and business stakeholders.
- · Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution proposals.
- · Analyze transport flows, vessel utilization, capacity planning, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- · Contribute to the definition of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions that improve visibility and decision-making.
- · Assess data flows and system interactions across multiple enterprise applications to ensure consistency, reliability, and business relevance.
- · Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, including testing, validation, deployment support, and production stabilization.
- · Promote simple, scalable, and user-centric solutions by balancing business priorities with technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
- · Work closely with distributed teams across regions and time zones to ensure alignment, transparency, and smooth execution.
Candidate Profile
- · Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in transport, logistics, shipping, or TMS-related environments.
- · Strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and UAT support.
- · Hands-on analytical skills with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar technologies.
- · Good understanding of transport planning, vessel utilization, capacity management, and operational workflows.
- · Ability to work with complex data and convert insights into clear business recommendations and product improvements.
- · Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- · Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments and familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps is an advantage.
- · Ability to work independently, take ownership, and maintain a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- · Fluent English is mandatory.
