What You’ll Build 

The Intern Developer Security will play a vital role within our team and will have the opportunity to learn how our organization is safeguarding its critical assets. This position will be able to take part in the development of a cutting-edge automation platform that will enhance our operations by seamlessly integrating both process and control automation, eliminating the need for manual intervention. This innovative intern development role will enhance efficiency, reduce human error, and streamline our workflows, ultimately saving time and resources. 

Leveraging both proprietary and open-source tools and technologies, the Intern Developer will tackle a diverse set of intricate challenges aimed at improving the team's efficiency and effectiveness. This position offers an opportunity to not only work on software development but also to gain knowledge in different security areas. Ultimately, you’ll build highly responsive secure systems and APIs that align with our business needs. The Role

• Be directly involved in the development, testing, and maintenance of various cross-cutting services and tools, contributing to solutions that support multiple teams and automate processes to improve operational efficiency. 
• Utilize expertise in cybersecurity and vulnerability management operations to ensure that technical results align with the needs of operational stakeholders. 
• Collaborate across teams to establish requirements, assess architectural options, analyze trade-offs, and propose solutions. 
• Engage in close collaboration with Operations Analysts, Vulnerability Detection Engineers, Threat Intelligence Analysts, Automation Engineers, and Product Managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their challenges and objectives. Subsequently, formulate and prioritize solutions to assist in achieving these goals. 
• Analyze complex security processes and devise effective security solutions. 
• Enhance the user-friendliness of our current tools by introducing innovative technical features and frameworks. Additionally, deploy new tools and platforms to ensure that the company is embracing industry best practices. 

What You’ll Bring

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (office attendance 3 times a week is mandatory)

Schedule:20/30/40 hours a week

Student status is mandatory

• We are looking for someone who takes the initiative and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. 
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of working with at least one development/release framework. 
• Basic to advanced knowledge of at least one software development or scripting language. (Go, Python, Java) 
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a strong plus but not a must. 
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5) 
• Both written and verbal proficiency, enabling effective communication at every level within the organization. 
• Knowledge of optimizing and streamlining software deployment, ensuring consistent environments using containerization principles 
• A plus if you have participated in FOSS projects in your free time and have knowledge how to maintain successfully projects on your own
