You Are:
UST is looking for Strong and agile Java backend developers to work on a multi-vendor multi-geo team helping to build a NextGen high scale enterprise application including working with RFID and IOT devices at scale for a retail application.
The opportunity:
· Handle device communication protocols, data exchange, and real-time event processing
· Ensure high availability and fault tolerance in device interactions
· Design RESTful APIs for device orchestration and enterprise integration
· Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka / ActiveMQ for real-time device events
· Deploy and manage services using Docker/Kubernetes, and Helm
· Build CI/CD pipelines with automated deployment strategies
· Work with Cloud services and API Gateway for scalable integrations
· Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito
· Perform end-to-end validation of hardware-software workflows

What you need:
· Experience range: 9 + Years
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field is required as it is a complex specialized program
· 9 plus years of experience with hands on experience in software/system design, development, testing and troubleshooting of complex backend Java programs
· Strong expertise in Java (17+) and backend development Microservices & REST API design. This is mandatory and resources without expertise need not apply
· Experience with Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), Logging, and incident management
· Strong knowledge of SQL, BigQuery, Looker
· Comfortable working in Linux environments
· Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important for this role.
· Should be able to articulate past projects and do on the fly troubleshooting/ write logic during evaluation
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $82,000-123,000
