Job Description

 

Java/J2EE Lead will do design for their own work in web based java applications. The Java/J2EE Lead will draw upon past integration experience to successfully develop between systems. The Java/J2EE Lead will also provide senior level technical leadership and direction as well as mentor other Java/J2EE developers.

The Java/J2EE developer needs to draw upon experience in Enterprise Java development.  The developer is involved in design, development, and testing of new/existing functionality in an fast paced development environment.  This position will provide the opportunity for the developer to learn new technologies and therefore should be a self-starter.  The developer will be interacting with many different roles, therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for this person to be successful in a dynamic team environment.  The Java/J2EE will be expected to develop their own unit tests and submit code to enterprise code repositories as well as have their code reviewed by peers.  The Java/J2EE developer is expected to participate with the team in regular meetings and participate in code review meetings.  In addition to the above we expect the Java/J2EE developer to have:

  • Experience working with collaborative/Agile development teams

  • Object Oriented Development

  • Application design

  • Application support

  • Team player

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-starter with good work ethic
