About the Project
Project team supports a web-based public health system built around EpiTrax, leveraging technologies such as Java, Linux, PHP, and PostgreSQL.
Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Strong back-end experience with Java 11/17, Maven, and Hibernate, along with:
- Quarkus,
- Java EE / Jakarta EE (with WildFly or JBoss)
- Front-end development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with JSF / PrimeFaces
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
- Experience in unit and integration testing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Linux environments (SSH, bash, Ubuntu, RHEL)
- Experience with React
- Additional back-end experience (e.g., PHP, Python)
- Knowledge of health data standards (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, LOINC, SNOMED, AIMS)
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories
- Knowledge of GIS/mapping, visualization, or geocoding
