At Globant, we're looking for a Senior Search Engineer to join a global engineering team building next-generation search solutions powered by modern Search and AI technologies.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise search solutions using Java and Python.
- Improve search relevance, indexing, query processing, ranking, performance, and scalability.
- Build intelligent search capabilities leveraging RAG, Vector Search, Embeddings, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Contribute to modern service-oriented architectures, cloud-native applications, and continuous platform improvements.
- Research and evaluate emerging Search and AI technologies to drive innovation.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Java.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong knowledge of search technologies such as Apache Solr, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Lucene, or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing AI-powered search solutions, including:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector Search
- Embedding models
- Prompt Engineering
- Agentic Workflows
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience with AWS, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across both technical and business teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing production-grade search platforms.
- Knowledge of SaaS architectures and cloud-native applications.
- Passion for Search, AI, and continuous learning.
