Key Purpose

To join our Enterprise Architecture team (System Architects, Enterprise Architects, Developers) The Java Developer (Senior) will Translates Requirements specifications into design artifacts and executable code without errors.  Analyses and resolves defects. Follows technical standards and consults with BA and Architect on technical issues. Actively follows latest IT developments and best practices and proposes new innovative solutions with an ability to implement them in the environment. It is continuous researcher of best technology trends and can learn quickly and apply any IT innovations. Participates in peer reviews for code consistency. Actively coaches other developers during code review to ensure understanding and application of coding standards. Performs coaching as part of peer review. Takes a more proactive role in team development and process improvement.

Senior Developers operate at an advanced competency level across collaboration, coaching, process management, customer engagement, consulting, risk management, and solution design. They demonstrate independence, leadership, and technical depth by guiding others, resolving complex challenges, and contributing to team growth and process improvement. In contrast, Intermediate Developers typically apply established solutions, follow defined processes, and address complex problems within the organization.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in source code development.
• Minimum BSc degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
• An honors or master’s degree would be advantageous.
• Expert level at:
• Java version 11 to 21, Spring/Spring Boot 3, Spring AI, Hibernate/JPA experience, Oracle and PL/SQL knowledge (or similar SQL knowledge), Atlassian product stack, GitLab and related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, HashiCorp), Monitoring tools (Dynatrace)
• Use of LLM’s for coding and design and ability to build an agentic systems
• Formal modelling languages (UML, ArchiMate etc.) , modelling tools (Enterprise Architect),
• Methodologies: Agile including Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development
