Position Description:
We are looking for a Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework and SQL to join our team. The ideal candidate is fluent in French and has experience working in complex, process-driven environments—ideally within finance or regulated industries.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain backend services, build and optimize business process workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams across French-speaking regions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring (Boot, MVC, Security);
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data access and reporting;
• Collaborate with French-speaking business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes;
• Ensure solutions follow clean code practices, scalability, and maintainability;
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions in production environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development;
• Proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred);
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.);
• Fluency in French (spoken and written) – mandatory;
• Good understanding of software development best practices and design patterns;
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and RESTful APIs.
