Role Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on AWS Cloud Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices that enhance our software development lifecycle. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and DevOps.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Understanding of database management systems and data storage solutions.
- Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
