Java Engineer

CTG is seeking to fill a Java Engineer position for our client. Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: Ongoing Contract Duties: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications and services. Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established development standards. Develop and maintain applications using Kotlin as needed. Work with PostgreSQL/Postgres databases, including data modeling, queries, and application integration. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing application support. Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technical solutions. Skills: Java Spring Framework Spring Boot REST Web Services / RESTful APIs Kotlin PostgreSQL / Postgres Strong object-oriented programming and software development skills Experience developing and integrating APIs and web services Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience: Experience developing enterprise applications using Java. Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot. Experience designing and developing RESTful web services. Experience with Kotlin is preferred. Experience working with PostgreSQL/Postgres databases. Experience with software development lifecycle processes, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment. Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
