Job Description:
CLIENT is growing and expanding operations in Champaign IL and building collaborations with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are seeking a Web Developer to join the team in Champaign to support its operations. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to build up a full stack web portal from scratch with a 2-3 person team.

Responsibilities:
• Lead development initiatives on technical projects and mentor team members.
• Utilize Java server-side technologies to tie front and back end platforms together
• Create rich, compelling user interfaces using JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS and the latest in client-side technologies
Requirements:
• 5+ years of JavaScript experience (including, but not limited to AJAX, DOM manipulations, JSONP, event models etc.) and related libraries such as React, Angular, or Node
• 3+ years of professional Java/J2EE development experience
• Solid understanding of databases such as SQL, Mongo DB as well as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with agile development cycles & rapid prototyping
• Work collaboratively with wen designers and marketing on contents
• A creative and organized developer who thrives in both an independent and small team environment
• A strong passion for progressive user experience and web development
