What is the essence of the role?
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing, classifying, and accurately recording company expenses and financial transactions in a timely manner. You will verify invoices and supporting documentation, assign the appropriate accounting and analytical information—such as cost center, business owner, and budget owner—make any necessary adjustments, and post transactions to the accounting system.
This role s suitable for someone who likes routine tasks but is also open for innovation and change.
What will your job look like?
- Reviewing invoices, expense reports, card payments, advances and other financial transactions
- Verifying the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents
- Assigning the correct accounting category and analytical dimensions
- Identifying and following up on missing or inconsistent information
- Suggesting simple improvements to recurring tasks and checks
What do you need to be successful?
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Preferably 1 year accounting experience according to the Bulgarian accounting standards
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work efficiently with structured, repetitive tasks while meeting deadlines
- Early adopter for new systems and processes, with an interest in improving routine work
- Good command in English
