The "Products & Innovation Technology - User Interface" department is responsible for delivering state of the art Web frameworks and services for the User Interfaces of the SAP applications. This includes the development of the "UI Development Toolkit for HTML5" (SAPUI5), a highly scalable, cross-browser JavaScript Framework, the Web Dynpro for ABAP UI framework which offers an object orientated framework for developing user interfaces directly out of the SAP ABAP server and the Floorplan Manager which provides a pattern based approach for generating Web Dynpro ABAP user interfaces. We are looking for a (junior) developer in order to strengthen the existing UI framework development team.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- You are used to be part of a focus project with tight timelines and a lot of management attention. You will participate in the development of the UI frameworks and components used to build the next generation of SAP applications. An important part is the tight cooperation with stakeholders and other development teams within the UI development departments.
- You are able to work according to LEAN principles with a high degree of self organization and responsibility for your work. Especially you will take part in the planning and implementation of functional requirements in scrum working mode following agile software development methodologies.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge in user interface framework development, architecture and design, especially for business applications with large amounts of data
- Good knowledge of web based technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript and web communication protocols
- ABAP development skills
- Ideally you have experience in Web Dynpro based UI development
- Experience in Lean and agile software methodologies is a big plus
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Good Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, natural science or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Creative thinking, willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies
- Fluent in German and English
